"When you love, don't give everything, you should leave something for yourself"


They say,"when you love, you can do and give everything for her/him." Sometimes, it's not appropriate in every relationship. It does work and the effort could be seen but still, it isn't enough for that person to love you back as how you love him. You know when love is sincere and when it is not. So, why give everything to him when you love him? Why give everything when you know it's not sincere? There are nothing much difference but you should also think for yourself. You should be giving all the love and effort but don't forget that there is no "love" when there is no "self", for love is coming from one's self and you're just used of sharing it to another person and form a relationship, not an ordinary relationship but a commitment.
In a relationship, there's no assurance that you're going to last. So, it's better not to give everything because if you did, then the two of you broke up, you'll feel helpless and it'll be hard for you to move on.
